Height 90cm (35in). Culinary note: All poppies are poisonous. However the seeds produced from Papaver somniferum and Papaver paeoniflorum can be eaten and are used for adding extra flavour, crunch and bite to breads and cakes.
The seeds of other poppy species are not edible.
