Godetia 'Pink Buttercups' is a delightful hardy annual that produces an abundance of vibrant pink blooms throughout the summer. These charming flowers appear on sturdy, upright stems amidst grass-like foliage, creating a visually appealing display in any garden setting. Their relaxed appearance makes them a perfect choice for planting in meadow schemes, adding a touch of wild beauty and lasting color.
Growing Godetia from seed is a simple and rewarding experience. Direct sow the seeds outdoors from March to May in a sunny location with well-drained soil. Ensure the soil is finely raked before sowing the seeds thinly at a depth of 15mm (⅙in) in drills spaced 30cm (12”) apart. Cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil to exclude light and water the ground regularly, especially during dry periods. Germination typically occurs within 7-14 days.
Once the seedlings are large enough to handle, thin them out to 20cm (8”) apart to allow them ample space to grow and flourish. To encourage continuous blooming throughout the summer, feed and water the plants frequently. The result will be an endless supply of delicate Godetia flowers, adding a touch of elegance and charm to your garden.
These seeds are supplied as a single packet containing 400 seeds, providing ample opportunity to create a stunning display of pink buttercups.
